This is my very favourite cotton shirt pattern. I made it a while ago, but never posted about it. I’ve worn it all summer long for a couple of years now. I used the pattern Simplicity 3964, its one of the patterns from the Built By Wendy collection. I made it out of a stretch shirting cotton, it doesn’t have to be stretch, it was just what I happened to like when I was fabric shopping. It was a pretty simple pattern to make up, I should really make a few more since I wear this one so much. I love the frill sort of sleeves, the front diamond detail, the general silhouette and back tie closure, everything combined makes the perfect summer shirt! And I wish these were me-made jeans but they are not. I am working on a pair of jeans right now, but I am still trying to perfect the fit, and wishing I had better fabric resources around here that would make making a pair of jeans like the ones I’m wearing in the photo even remotely possible. But I shall persist!
Thanks for reading! We finally got some nice weather around here, hope you did too! 🙂
