Pansy Boyfriend Jeans

We always grew pansies at our front door when I was a kid and it was just the perfect flower to embroider on these jeans! I kept seeing amazing embroidered jeans on Pinterest and I finally had to try to make a pair myself. I got an embroidery Klutz book one year for Christmas when I was maybe 10 years old and I went through a faze of embroidering everything, I actually tried to embroider my swimsuit once. But I haven’t embroidered since that craze, so it was really fun to try my hand at it again.

I’ve made several pairs of jeans now, some for myself, and a few more at work, so I’m pretty confident with the construction process at this point, but I always get a little iffy on the fly front. I always reference this great article for sewing a ready-to-wear style fly front on the emmaonesock website. For these jeans I used the Morgan Boyfriend Jeans pattern. This pattern was great, just as the Ginger skinny jeans pattern was! I will definitely be making another pair of these jeans, maybe in a lighter denim and perhaps with even more embroidery!? I’ll have to book a lot of time if I do that, since each flower took me about 2 hours to embroider.

I’m super happy with these jeans, I will definitely wear them and they are super comfy since I made them out of a stretch denim.
